Support for Families in School:

Where possible we will support your child with any medical needs. If they require medication whilst they are in school, once the relevant paperwork is completed, we can administer this medication. All medication given by staff must be in it’s original packaging with the sticker from the dispensing chemist clearly stating the chil
d’s name and date it was dispensed. Anti-bio tics can be administered as long as they need to be given 4 times a day. For children with allergies, asthma or other complex conditions we require a healthcare plan to be completed. When your child either enters our school or receives a new diagnosis Miss Crookes will meet with parents and complete the healthcare plan. This will include symptoms, medication and any other necessary information. You can ask to have a copy of the final plan if you wish. We have an extensive list of staff who are first aid trained and a number of staff are specially trained in Diabetes, Epi-pen administration and pediatric first aid.
If, as a parent of a pupil attending this academy, you require a paper copy of the information on this website, we shall provide this free of charge.
